Windows 10: HOW TO RECOVER UNSAVED WORD PAD FILE

I HAVE LOST MY UNSAVED WORD PAD FILE DUE TO SUDDEN DISRUPTION IN LAPTOP FOR UPDATE

WOrD PAd...retrieving an unsaved document

Can anyone tell me how, or if it's even possible to recover an unsaved document I typed out in WordPad? Before I was able to save the document, my computer rebooted itself and when I opened up Word Pad I was hoping for the document to appear or at least
a message asking to recover the document or even finding an "untitled document" in the documents folder. Please can anyone help?? I have very important information that I typed out. Also, does anyone know whether or not wordpad autosaves documents every
now and then like MS Word does??

We would suggest you follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

1. Open word application and click the File tab.
   
2. Click on Info > Manage Document >
   Recover Unsaved Documents.
   
3. A list of unsaved files are shown.
   
4. Look for the file try opening and saving it.

Good day! I'm Raniel, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

On your MS Word 2016, kindly go to File > Info > Manage Documents/versions and select "Recover Unsaved Documents". Check if you'll be able to see your missing file on the list.
