Windows 10: how to remove the metered connection of this pc

I don't recall the details, but several months ago a Windows update item repeatedly failed to install on this PC. I thought the install attempts were interfering with my use of the PC. I followed a suggestion that I set my connection as "metered" to give me more control over when updates were installed. The problem got solved and I set my connection back to "unmetered".

Windows still acts as though Ihave my connection set as metered, which is not so.

This is interfering with automatic updates. See insertion or attachment.

The metered connection option in Windows can be found under Network & Internet in the
Settings app. To turn off the metered connection, follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo (Start button).
• Click the gear icon (Settings).
• Select Network & Internet.
• On the left pane, choose Wi-Fi.
• Click Manage known networks.
• Select your Wi-Fi network, and then click Properties.
• Under Metered connection, click the slider to set the metered connection to
  Off.

Removing Metered Connection Settings with Mobile Broadband

You may follow the below steps if you are using a Wi-Fi connection from any mobile data device:

• Go to Start menu > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Advanced options.
• Under Metered connection, you can toggle Set as metered connection to Off.
