How to 'Run as different user' in Windows 10

    Win version #1909 build 18363.720)

I have reviewed the thread from 2016 found at Run as different user in Windows 10 and have followed the instructions to the letter. It is not working and, as of right now, when I go to click the "RUNAS" shortcut nothing happens.

I provide laptops for my staff and want to give them admin permission to one particular app without giving any other admin rights. This app used to load with the message "Do you want to allow this application to make changes to your disc?" until I changed the UAC to its lowest setting.

For the purpose of this task I have removed the password from my admin account.

I am creating a new shortcut and then browsing to the item that I want to create a shortcut for. I next add what I believe is the correct command to the front of the location text. NOTE: I am copying the command. I am not so advanced that I can type these commands in.

I have attempted to make this work a number of times. In previous times I have been asked for the password and entered it the one time that it requires and entered it (as stated, no password on admin account to input so I hit the ENTER key)

I have tried the two following commands, more than once:
    runas /user:stra\danielstra /savecred "C:\Program Files (x86)\DJT\DJT.exe"

    runas /user:danielstra /savecred "C:\Program Files (x86)\DJT\DJ Trivia.exe

As of now, the RUNAS shortcut seems to run and immediately quit. I see it show up as a loading app in the taskbar but only for a split second.

I can see the item in Windows Credentials Manager.

What must I do to get this working correctly?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
