Windows 10: How to select device that triggers switch from tablet mode.?

Hello,

I have an Acer Iconia Tab W500 running Windows 10 Pro. Everything works perfectly except Windows does not exit tablet mode when the USB keyboard is attached. Is there a method for selecting a device that can switch the PC back into normal mode?

Can't find desktop in Windows 10

Start > Settings > Tablet Mode, in the "When I sign in" section, select "Go to the Desktop". Additionally, under "when this device automatically switches Tablet Mode on or off", you can select "Don't ask me and don't switch"

 

My tablet mode doesnt work

there is no "turn on tablet mode" option any more. Only settings, such as "when I sign in use tablet mode" and "when this device is automatically switching "don't ask and always switch". I have these settings selected but tablet mode does not ever come
on.

I am currently using Action Centre to switch between desktop and tablet mode. What I am looking to do is have Windows detect whether or not the keyboard unit is plugged in and switch between desktop and tablet mode accordingly. Is this possible?

 

Setting step 4 in OPTION ONE to Don't ask me before switching should have it do that for you.

 

Having Make Windows more touch-friendly when using your device as a tablet switched on leaves the device in tablet mode permanently whether or not the keyboard is connected regardless of the other options. I need it to detect the keyboard and switch back into desktop mode.
