Windows 10: How to set Google Chrome browser as default - Microsoft has it blocked ???

I made mistake of setting Edge as default - and really don't like it. Not an improvement from when it first came out. Trying to set Google Chrome back as the default. But it won 't come up as a selection in the apps. Seems microsoft may be blocking this? Trying to force use of Edge? Please help. I don't want to deal with Edge. Wish Microsoft would leave our free choice.

I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue.

• Go to Start > Settings > System.
• Choose Default apps, then scroll down to
  Web browser.
• Tap or click the browser that’s currently listed as your default, then choose Chrome from the list of apps

UNABLE TO SET GOOGLE CHROME AS DEFAULT WEB BROWSER

I am unable to set google chrome as default web browser. Though I tried various steps but I'm unable to please help.

• Press "Windows" button on your keyboard and type "Default Programs" in the search menu.
• Select "Default Programs" from the suggestions.
• Now select "Chrome" under "Web browser".
