Windows 10: How to Set the Folder Field Format in Search?

So about half the time when I'm in File Explorer and do a search with the results viewed as details I up with a folder field column that looks like:Aerospace-Fiction F:\My Pictures\Scanned Not Tagged\Objects\VehiclesI want it to always look likeF:\My Pictures\Scanned Not Tagged\Objects\Vehicles\Aerospace-FictionI can't determine any pattern to why it displays one way or the other.Is there a way to force the folder column to display in the second format?

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

 

Explorer Search Field/Folder Search Field is not working/unavailable

Hello,

I am experiencing a weird issue, my Explorer search field/Folder search field seems not working:

1. When I click on it nothing happens, no blinking cursor appears as it should, to input searching query, nothing.
2. When I use combination Ctrl+F, I can input only 1 letter in Search field.

It would be much appreciated if anyone could help me with my problem.

Taskbar search button (near Cortana button) stopped to work for me as well - nothing happens when I press on it.

That is weird, Start orb button stopped to work too... what is going on...

 

Can we insert Fields in Folder names (like date field)

it would be helpful if we can insert date fields in folder names. We have a specific date format that we want all of our employees to use. But at times people tend to use their own format for naming the folders and we have to go back and change it to the
desired format.

So instead, if we can insert a date field(or any other field for that matter) in the folder name, we can easily change the date format(for all the folder names in windows) by simply changing the default date format from the "change date and time settings".

Is this possible using any plugins or 3rd party applications?
