Windows 10: How to show driver letters

I have just installed W10 Pro 10147. My problem now is that no drive letter is shown on Windows Explorer. How can the drive letters -- C: , D: , etc. -- be shown?

in my lumia 720 contacts showing disorderly

i.e under j letter it showing name starting with other letter. how can i fix this?

 

Upgrading to Windows 10 / Seagate3TB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE ,( used for system backup), on Windows 7 Pro is incompatible with 10?

I came across this issue when helping a customer.

Here is how I fixed the problem.

Did all the driver update and stuff

We realized that everytime we connect the device, there is a sound and the disk is picked up by windows but does not show up in Explorer

1) Opened Diskmgmt.msc

2)All disks and partitions are listed here. Some partitions done have a drive letter (Eg, System Reserved). These drives don't show up in Explorer.

3) Noticed that the Seagate disk is there but it also did not have a drive letter

4) Right Click on the Seagate Drive, Assign any drive letter.

5) FIXED!!

Not sure why the disk does not have a drive letter on Windows 10 but has a letter on every other machine

Hello Churin, and welcome to Ten Forums.

It sounds like you may have turned off to "Show drive letters". Checking the box in your File Explorer Options and clicking on OK should sort this for if so. *Smile
