How to stop fading at websites and displaying mages

    Hi All,

I have a brand new fresh Windows 10 install, and for some odd reason. When I goto certain webpages, or view jpg files, my screen will fade dark, to the point where I almost can't even see the screen. Once I clear the popup or close the image out, my screen goes back bright again.

Any idea how I can prevent my monitor from fading on certain webpages or during displaying pictures on my computer?

    Thanks,

    -Matt

    :)

    Display fade slow to resume

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

To change the Adaptive Brightness settings, follow the below steps.

    Step 1: Click on the
Start Menu and search for 'Edit power plan' and hit
    Enter.

Step 2: Now, click on 'Change advanced power settings'.

Step 3: Scroll down the page and expand the 'Display' option by click on the
Plus sign beside the Display option.

Step 4: Once you expand the 'Display' option, you will see two categories:

    • Turn off display after. (This option will allow you to customize the time to turn off the display after the ideal system time)
    • Enable adaptive brightness. (This option will enable to disable adaptive brightness once the system comes out of ideal mode)

    Step 5: Click on the
Plus sign beside the 'Enable adaptive brightness' and change the
    Setting to Off.

Step 6: Restart the PC once for the changes to take effect.

    Hope it helps.
