Windows 10: How to stop OneDrive from syncing GTA V settings and data?

I recently purchased a laptop on which I want to play GTA V occasionally, but I have run into this weird problem where the game for some reason saves graphics settings and save states in my Documents folder, which I have to keep shared between all of my PCs for work reasons. When I first installed the game on my laptop it immediately overwrote my 300+ hour single player progression with the first prologue autosave and replaced my graphical settings with the 1600x900 medium settings that my laptop uses! GTA V seemingly has no options to make the game save data anywhere but in the

OneDrive syncing and I can't stop it

Hi Brink - I recently renewed my Office Home 365 Personal. Previously, OneDrive worked perfectly but now it's a nightmare. It's syncing and I can't stop it - it kept at it for a week earlier & the OneDrive Support Team said it was stuck and told me how to restart it. It's working on 5,000 - odd files but my SuperAntiSpyware checks 13,000-odd.

I've tried everything to stop the blasted thing, including unlinking my PC but all that did was to stop me from opening important folders on my desktop. I thought I'd found the solution myself - I went to Settings>Accounts (which includes sync) then "sync your settings" (it's at the bottom of the list on my PC), then 'turn off sync settings'. It wasn't the solution.
I know you don't usually like to look at MS Community threads where we've already gone to but if you can, you'll see what's happened. GTA V using G-Sync. When turning off V-Sync 99% CPU load

As stated in the title.
In NV control panel I have G-Sync on and monitor at 144Hz when I tried it.
Set it ingame to 144Hz and V-Sync off, my CPU load goes maximum and the ingame menus become extremely laggy. I can play GTA V with 60Hz V-Sync on , no problem and it runs fine.
It's just laggy with V-Sync off because the CPU load stays so high.
