    Essentially I have this exact same problem just on windows 11 it pops up every time I open a game, the solution in that article doesn't work for me.

    I was able to download and extract the files. I did run them as Administrator, but did not see the start up item. It really only occurs when I load a game that uses the ms-gamingoverlay.

    Click the link below to download a small free utility that does not require installation.

    https://download.sysinternals.com/files/Autorun...

    When the file downloads, unzip it.

    Depending on your system, run Autoruns or Autoruns64 as Administrator

    In the search box in Autoruns, type gaming

    Does that find the startup entry for ms-gamingoverlay

    If it does, right click and delete the entry found
