Windows 10: HOW TO TOTALLY REMOVE MICROSOFT EDGE FROM MY COMPUTER

Just been forced to accept the latest version of Microsoft Edge. To say the least I am

NOT happy with it at all as it has major conflicting problems with my existing set up.


When I looked to "try" to remove it the "trigger" point is greyed out. - See Picture.

- Also you will see Microsoft Edge Update - This ALSO CANNOT BE removed


When I looked at trying to reverse the download the system shows


This option is no longer available because your PC was updated more than 10 days ago.


I am now stuck with a product that is of no use at all as it stands.


My question is this


In the light of the above comments HOW can I STOP this product from working altogether.

The research programs I use with not work with this set up.



I have tried Google Chrome but that too is blocked in part. by the update.


Firefox was also recommended but that will also be suspect if a "lock" is hidden somewhere in Edge's design.


In addition to the above problems I think that as a RESULT OF THIS UPDATE, THERE IS NOW A BREAK DOWN TO THE BACK UP DRIVE.


To coin & paraphrase a well known saying
"Will no one rid me of this turbulent update"

I would suggest you to try restarting Microsoft Edge Browser and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

  Open task manager right click on Microsoft Edge and go to details click on microsoftedgeCP.exe and click end task
  
• 
  Restart your Computer and check if it helps.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Microsoft Edge can no longer be found on my computer..?

As per your query, I suggest you to check in the all apps list for Microsoft Edge browser.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Click on Start button or press
  Windows key on the key board.
  
• 
  Click on All apps and check for
  Microsoft Edge under M section.
  
• 
  Right click on Microsoft Edge and select
  Pin to Start.
