How to turn blackmail malicious software protection on?

I checked my protection, and it said:

    Standard hardware security not supported

This means that your device does not meet at least one of the requirements of standard hardware security.

    Improving hardware security

If the security capability of your device isn't what you'd like it to be, you might need to turn on certain hardware features such as secure boot, if supported or change the settings in your system's BIOS. Contact your hardware manufacturer to see what features are supported by your hardware and how to activate them.

  2. malicious software tool

The Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) is quite a useless and antiquated tool...

It might show during scanning any number of "infected" files but at the end of the scanning come to the conclusion that they were not infected. The result counts...

Suggestion to read these older threads (especially the posts of Rob Koch and quietman and GreginMich) which are explaining a bit about the "usefulness" of the MSRT...

I, personally, never even download/use it...

How to turn blackmail malicious software protection on?

How do I turn off real -time protection?

    Hi Rahul,

If you have Windows 10, you are getting the latest antivirus protection with Windows Defender. Windows Defender actively helps in protecting your PC from malware (malicious software), viruses, and security threats. Windows Defender uses real-time protection.

To turn Windows Defender real-time protection on or off, follow the steps below:

    • Select the Start button, then select Settings >
      Update & Security.
    • Select Windows Defender, then turn Real-time protection
      on or off.
If the on /off button is greyed out, refer to the answer of José Antonio
Pontón Posada CEO on this thread for troubleshooting steps.

Let us know if you have other concerns.
