Windows 10: How to turn off auto updates in MS Store while offline?

    How to turn off auto updates in MS Store while offline?


    One thing I just noticed - if I open Microsoft Store while offline and without ever having turned on the network, I can't get to its settings panel. Anyone know how I can turn off the "auto update" settings of MS Store without turning on the network, if when I turn on the network, it starts downloading things?

    Any way around this, that you know?

    Microsoft Auto-Updates Components of Windows Without User Permission

    The nine files that are updated all have to do with the Auto-Updater itself.
    The article lists them all. No big deal.

    I run auto-update anyway, so BRING ON THE NEW UPDATES !!!
    I have yet to experience any problems from MS updates on my XP network.

    Disable Offline Map downloads and updates


    Yeah, that disables the auto download and update....which is good. I'm trying to take it a step further by greying out the options for offline maps altogether.

    With that GPO set users can still manually download...

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
