    cortina app,

    My Cortina app on my laptop cant hear me. And its not there when I got to microphone.. How do I add to list of apps to use my mike. Thank you.

    Cortina/"Type here to search" task bar problems

    I have Windows 10 PRO upgraded from Win 7 Pro. on a Desktop

    Up to which I think was just yesterday I could do a search with Cortina or type into the task bar and my search would come up.
    Well it does but it does not.

    I am going camping and have a word.doc called “Camping” which is a list of items to take camping.

    I spoke “camping” into Cortina. If you’re the doc but have a look at the bellow pictures. Picture 1) does not have an icon next to the document. Well it would not open so I typed “camping” same thing.

    Next, I went to my laptop it worked see picture 2. It has a wor.doc Icon which I clicked on and it opened

    Picture 3) I then tried the same thing on my desktop again but did a search verbally and by typing an Excel and PowerPoint files. They worked! It appears only MS Word 2016 in Cortina/"Type here to search" task bar will not come up.

    Picture 4) Started typing in Microsoft and then the “camping document and other items appeard!!!! What is going on?

    I have restarted the Cortina Search Service and no success.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    (Corrupted Cortina App Stuck within Windows 10 Start Menu)


    Shawn, or anyone in this Windows 10 Great Forum regarding Apps, your assistance is needed....

    I been going nuts here for 2 week

    Regarding Windows Start Menu

    I remove Cortina completely but now I have a corrupted listing within the start menu under all apps, and now Other and just below there is @(Microsoft.Cortina bla bla bla dead listing and icon

    Is there a way to zap it remove this dead listing within Windows 10 Start Menu via a windows registry tweak or something

    FYI: I ran very deep commands with install_wim_tweak and no luck at this time to know this dead icon listing within the current Windows 10 Menu *Sad
