Windows 10: How to unblock- protected folders-

Just downloaded microsoft latest update..
much ahs changed.... but now It seems that in error I blocked myself out of my own folders

in the interest of creating security of some folder. It appears that I have protected folders

that I cannot access as the administrator. How do unblock my protected folders??


I scan a document and pointed to the folder where it would be saved by Windows will not

let me save it. It is protected folder. I need to undo this error since I an NEW to the way that

this update works

How do I REMOVE a folder from the list of "Protected folders" (virus&threat protection setting "Protected folders")

Hi Mörre,

You can either add or delete a folder in Windows Defender protected folder. To do that, follow the steps below:

• Open Windows Defender and go Protected folders
  option.
• Click on the listed folder you want to remove, then click the Remove
  button.
• Click Yes to continue the deletion. Enter UAC permission when prompted.
