    How to unpause indexing in Windows 11.


    The previous subject "How to unpause indexing in Windows 10 was locked so I submitted a new subject "How to unpause indexing in Windows 11 which I found a solution. The key is the Services Local for Windows Search. The process I used to get it to resume was to use the "Windows Search Properties Local Computer. The path to the executable is at C:\WINDOWS\system32\SearchIndexer.exe /Embedding. The service status was Running but the Indexing was still paused. The boxes that can be clicked are:StartStopPauseResumeAs an experiment I selected Stop then after it processed that selection I selec

    Just restart the computer, the indexing service will be unpaused and running after OS startup.

    Big problem for me--the solution did not work--the indexing did not rebuild nor did it continue indexing--it is stuck on "pause" and pause is now greyed out. What can I do?
