Windows 10: how to update windows 10 media player for vob files?

I can't play videos on a Store N Go usb provided by a government office. Can't find what version WMP I have using available instructions.

Please reply if you have assigned a default player to open .vob
file type?



You may be facing this issue due to not assigning proper media player to open
.vob file type in the operating system.



I suggest you to follow the steps below to assign a media player for
.vob file type from the Settings page and check if the issue is resolved.

  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type Settings
  and select the top most search result.
  
• 
  Click on System option from the window and select
  Default apps from the left side panel of the screen.
  
• 
  Scroll the page down and click on Choose default apps by file type.
  
• 
  Locate and click on the .vob file type from the window and select an application to make as default player from
  Choose an App window.
  
• 
  Close the window and check if you are able to view the
  .vob file type videos.
