Windows 10: How to Update Windows Media Player

Norton new version messages that Windows Media Player has an update available Software Updater, but it won't update. Instead it takes me to a webpage that is entitled "Get Windows Media Player". The version of Windows Meda Player on my computer is: 12.0.19041.1 and the version listed is: 12.0.25163.1000.I have Windows 10. How can I update?

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

What is the exact error message you get when you to try play files on Windows Media Player?

I suggest you to run both Windows Media Player Library and Settings troubleshooter and check.
