Changing processor from 32bit to 64bit on Windows 10

I am trying to change my processor from 32bit to 64bit since I have the Windows 10 upgrade. I took advantage of the free upgrade but it didn't upgrade the processor. I have the capability for this operating system and don't know why it didn't upgrade
with all the other upgrades. What do I do to change the processor to 64bit. It currently reads 32bit,x64bit. Thanks for your help.

I am currently on Microsoft Surface Pro X Windows 10 Pro 64bit ARM Processor

As stated i need to actually downgrade from a 64bits os to a 32bits os as my company uses certain software which only runs on 32bits. i was wondering how can i go about this? I have tried to use windows media creation tool and downloaded the 32bit os however
when i tried to boot from the usb device it does not work. Will appreciate any form of help , thanks in advance !

Hi Alice

Most likely your Processor does not need to be upgraded, most PC's sold in the last 7 years have a 64bit Processor

If you want to go to Windows 10 64bit, you would need to backup your data and clean install Windows 10, there is no other route to switch between the 2 versions

Firstly we need to check your Processor is 64bit:

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Menu)

Expand the Processors section

What is the exact Model of processor listed there?
