    How to use procdump without needing to download it manually


    Good afternoon,

    I would like to use "procdump" in one of my applications, in order to be able to take memory dumps of processes in case something goes wrong. But, in order to do this, the procdump application needs to be distributed along with my software, which is not following Microsoft's advise (Microsoft advises always to launch a download in order to be sure the latest version is retrieved).


    Therefore I'm looking for the following solution: use a self-extracting installer (procdump_installer.exe), which installs the latest procdump version AND uses it for creating a memory dump file.


    Does such a self-extracting installer exist and in case yes, where can I find it?

    Are there any drawbacks I didn't think off?

    Manually Download Update


    I have a limited wifi issue. Toshiba states update KB3114149 may solve the issue. I can't determine if this update was included when I upgraded to 10586/1511 as it is not listed in Update History.

    Is there a way to manually download that update ?

    I have just installed windows 10. When windows 10 is updating (and only when its updating) there is a chance the system will randomly hang/freeze.

    This is very annoying and happens often but, only when updating.

    In an attempt to avoid this problem, I have decided to manually download and install updates.

    To do so, I have to do the following.

    1. Disable Windows 10 automatic updates.
    2. While windows 10 updates are disabled find and list all the required updates (preferable with a dependency tree of some kind)
    3. Download the required updates manually.
    4. Install the required updates manually.

    I was able to figure out the steps (1) and (3) (and I'm guessing step (4) is a simple execution)

    How should I go about achieving step (2)?

    Thanks very much lilhasselhoffer. I'll start doing what you suggested step by step.

    One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

    Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.
