    HP 255 G7 Laptop - Sleep Mode Issue


    So as you all know, I had to install a new keyboard/top cover on my HP 255 G7 Laptop. All is installed correctly. But now after we have put it back together, it isn't going into sleep mode. I also have got my new Lenovo desktop and I am wondering if that would play a role in why the Laptop isn't sleeping since they are both signed into the same Microsoft account. Help greatly appreciated! - Jesse

    SSD Upgrade Question regarding HP 255 G7 Laptop

    This spec is from Rich's post #2 and indicates an NVMe capability.

    And from the comments section below this YouTube, it is suggested that if it has an OEM SSD, it will have an M2 slot that accepts a sata or NVMe SSD.

    I'm a little confused. According to the spec: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product...c06194380#AbT5 I'd assume that the laptop can use either SATA or NVME M.2 drives.

    The drive that you list is a SATA one.

    The only M.2 drives that Crucial offers for the HP 255 G7 are SATA. Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp business notebooks | HP 255 G7 (AMD Ryzen) | Crucial.com

    An NVME PCI-E X4 drive would be preferred for best performance. I'm a little worried that Crucial doesn't offer any NVME drives.

    M.2 Slot 1x 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0
