    HP 8620 Printer/Scanner/Fax won't function after 2020-03 Cumulative Updat


    After the 2020-03 Cumulative Update my computers cannot find WiFi my printer. I tried to reinstall the software, but can't because I get the message the computer cannot communicate with the printer. How do I fix this? I have used the HP trouble shooter and Print and
    Scan Doctor. Neither has helped my problem.

    Thank you for posting this. I tried all the listed steps and still not able to print EXCEPT when I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor; at the conclusion of the scan, the app prompts me to print a test page from within the Scan Doctor and it is successful. I recall the 8620 being able to do this as well, however.

    Sure does sound like something is "broken" on this Win10 system after the upgrade.

    If it were my system, I guess my approach would be, in order:
    • Try the Canon printer (cannot hurt)
    • Contact HP (even if there's a cost involved)
    • Consider the more drastic, nuclear options, such as repairing or clean reinstalling Win10

    Others may have more helpful suggestions.
