Windows 10: HP Designjet 500 no longer working - after update to Windows 10 build 20H2

On your printer's specifications page, under system requirements, Windows 10 is not listed as a supported operating system:

HP Designjet 500 no longer working (since 2 months as of July 2020) on Windows 10

I have same problem with my printer hp designjet 500, I did download the Windows 10, version 1909 (KB4567512), now when I print it crash my windows, blue screen? any advise please

 

HP Designjet 500 no longer working (since 2 months as of July 2020) on Windows 10

I have an HP Designjet 500 42" that I've been using for ages with my Windows 10 desktop PC but recently it's stopped working - the file goes to the queue but never gets to the printer.

I've checked the USB lead etc, plugged into different port, tried updating the drivers - all the usual but it will not work.

Epson SX440 on the same computer works fine though.

As far as I can tell it's a recent update that's caused it - I have another Windows 10 machine that doesn't work either (that's up to date) but I know the problem isn't with the printer as I can print from my Win7 netbook without an issue.

Any ideas?

I get error 'Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000007f). The specified procedure could not be found' when trying to print test page on this printer but the Epson works fine.
