Windows 10: Hp dv7-4000/dv6-3000 series amd gpu drivers not working anymore.

Hi. I just hope that the dv7 or dv6 series amd gpu drivers hd4250 + hd5650 would be able to get working again with newest windows. Hp windows7 drivers sp49517 was working in windows10 16.09 version but after that i only get error code43. I have tried every version to newest 19.03. So if there is solution for this problem please let me know. Many thanks!

You may try installing the chipset driver in compatibility mode:

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

• Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
  
• Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
  ‘properties’.
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
  ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists

HP Pavilion dv6 Windows 10 video driver problem


Update on my black screen problem at boot-up: This HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with Intel i7 processor, has two video cards, as noted on earlier post. I just disabled the Intel HD Graphics 3000 video card in Device Manager. I then rebooted the laptop, and this solved my long black screen and slow bootup.

It now takes 14 seconds to get to the logon screen - so the Intel HD Graphics 3000 is the problem.

My question is, is it OK to just leave this Intel graphics card disabled? Or should I try to find a driver for it that will work?

AMD HD 4000 series graphics on Windows 10.


I have an older video card with AMD HD4670 Radeon Graphics. My Windows 7 system has dual 1080P displays. In windows 7 it was necessary to use the “Scaling” option found in the AMD Catalyst Control Center (CCC) to properly size the image on the HDMI display(picture attached). If I update to Windows 10, the CCC and the old driver will be removed by Windows 10 and a new Windows 10 driver will be installed but with no CCC. I would like to take advantage of the free Windows 10 upgrade but I’m not sure if the Windows 10 driver will include this Scaling Option. The Windows 10 driver does not use CCC where scaling was found in Windows 7. The driver is dated Jan 2015 and is version 8.970.100.9001. It looks like AMD provided the driver specifically to support HD 4000 series cards on Windows 10. While AMD provided the driver, my understanding is that it is only available thru Windows Update and is the only driver for AMD HD4000 series Graphics with Windows 10 support. Can anyone tell me if this Windows 10 driver version 8.970.100.9001 supports the scaling feature?
