    HP Envy x360 15m-dr1012dx: Two hard drives?


    I'm working on a HP Envy x360 15m-dr1012dx. The specs say it has a 512GB nvme, and that shows in disk management. But it also shows a 27.25GB "D" drive that is bitlocker encrypted. Does anyone know what this second drive is all about? Thanks.

    HP Envy x360 15m-dr1012dx: Two hard drives?

    I use an HP Envy 17 TouchSmart Notebook with a 1TB HDD [free, rehabbed instead of junking]. It also has provision for a second HDD, been toying with the idea of changing the boot drive to an SSD and making the HDD for storage.

    1) Open disk management > by default some columns are compressed > widen each Status and Volume > make sure the contents within the parenthesis are in full view and that none of the characters are cutoff > view disk 0 > widen this row as needed so that all of the characters are in full view > post an image into the thread

    2) Download and install Minitool Partition Wizard > click launch > post an image of the results into this thread

    DiskParInfo.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.


    4) confirm the computer model:

    5) Open administrative command prompt (ACP) and type or copy and paste:
    manage-bde -status
    When this has completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
