    hp laptop running windows 10 ive been using the touchscreen intermittently since ive got it, i noticed about a week ago when i tried to double tap the screen to make a video full size that is wasnt working, since then ive updated the drivers in BIOS and gone through everything short of a factory reset in regards to Hps recomendations. another issue i encountered was that my update for a new version of windows 10 fails to install on the computer... possibly the issue?

    I appreciate the efforts taken by you in troubleshooting this issue. The details provided helps us to avoid repeating the steps.

    This issue can occur if some of the system files and drivers are not working as expected.

    Suggest you to refer and follow the steps from this article on ‘Troubleshooting Touch Screen issues’.

    Important: Your screen resolution needs to be at least 1024 x 768 to have multiple windows and apps on your screen at the same time.

    Follow these steps to uninstall the driver from the PC.

    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices and select HID-compliant touch screen.
    3. Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.
    4. Restart your PC, and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
    You may also want to
    download the drivers from the OEM HP website     and install it to check if that helps.

    why isn't my touchscreen working on my hp envy x360

    i just bought an hp envy x360 2-1 not even a week ago and now the touchscreen is not working. i have tried turning the computer off and back on and it still does not work.
