    HP laptop with W10 shuts down when lid is closed


    All setting are for “sleep” upon lid being closed but it shuts down. Up until a week ago it would sleep. I updated W10, but still won’t sleep.

    Any ideas?

    When close lid during shutting down, PC go into sleep.

    Hello,
    I've got a problem (or a feature ? Not so sure) that when I finish my work, I shutting down my laptop, while waiting it to be shut down, I close the lid.
    The problem is when I close the lid, the laptop go into sleep mode, and when I back to work, I open the lid to press the power button and it resume the 'shut down' process.
    This hasn't happen before, any suggestion ? Many thanks HP laptop with W10 shuts down when lid is closed :)

    OS: Windows 10 Pro (build 14393.693) 64bits

    My laptop shuts down when i close the lid

    As the title says, when I close the lid on my laptop (windows 10) it shuts down, when I try to change it in Power options, "what happens when i close the lid" I have it set on "sleep" mode, but my laptop still shuts down after i close the lid. If I for instance
    move an object on my desktop to another place on the desktop and then close my lid, when I open the lid and the computer start from the beginning the same object that I've moved will be in the same place before i moved it. What do I do?
