    HP Officejet 3830 not printing


    My HP 3830 has been printing very well since I bought it, over a year ago. Running Windows 10 with Word etc and had no issues. (Lenovo Laptop, again no issues).

    I think there was an update yesterday to Windows, as when I shut down last night it said 'Update and shutdown'.

    Today I cannot print. The HP trouble shooter suggested uninstall and reinstall the HP drivers etc. Still did not work.


    Whenever I try to print it says Printer not connected. It is connected and the HP app gives access to the ink status and will print an 'internal' test page. Odd ???


    Help appreciated.

    After downloading and installing the windows 10 drivers and software from HP (very important) make sure you open the HP print program to choose your options. There are options to print in black and white or in color along with other options that you won't
    find if you use windows drivers alone. Win 10 installs just generic drivers. Get drivers here-
