Windows 10: Hp pavilionx360

Ok so I bought this laptop brand new in 2014. I used it daily for my business. One year later after my warranty was up I was on it when the screen suddenly went black. It was still lit up but it was black. I tried a few times to get it to come back on normally and finally it turned blue with words then back to black. Over the years I occasionally tried to get it to come back on and I still get the same response. Of course my battery is now no good from the lack of use.

Before I bring it some where to possibly get it fixed or to try to remove all my files from it I was wondering if there is another way to fix it or try to get into on my own. Has any one had this happen with their laptops? I would def say its not a virus. I had protection on it and visited the same sites as I do on my desktop with no issues.

Unable to access HP Simple Pass to Sign-in to the computer on Windows 10

• Have you installed HP simple pass software on your computer?

Try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to download the latest HP Simple Pass software from the manufacturer's website install it and check if it helps.

Step 2: If you have already installed the software, I suggest you to re-install it and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to Access Recovery Manager:

• Press Start button from the keyboard, type Recover Manager.
• Select Recovery Manager from the list when it becomes available. Allow the action to continue, if prompted. The
  HP Recovery Manager opens.
• Click Software program re-installation, Next , select
  HP SimplePass for the listing and then follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall application

HP Connected Remote is an app that comes preinstalled on select Windows HP computers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves this issue.

• On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
• Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
• Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.

Sorry for the delay in response.

We would suggest you to runt the Power troubleshooter and check.

Try to run the troubleshooter and check.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box and hit
  Enter.
• Select View all from the left pane and select Power.
• Follow the on-screen troubleshooter and try the steps.

We would also suggest you to update the firmware of the BIOS and install the chipset drivers and check.
