    cannot scan to my windows 10 laptop from HP Photosmart 6510 e-all-in-one printer series

    I have a wireless connection from my windows 10 HP laptop to/from HP Photosmart 6510 e-all-in-one printer series. Unable to scan from printer to laptop. Printer says: Make sure the printer software is installed on your computer, and the "Scan to Computer"
    is enabled via the printer software."

    Since I'm able to print from my laptop, I thought everything was installed. I'm old and not very techie and need your help. Thanks

    HP Photosmart compatible but not found in Windows 10

    I just downloaded Windows 10 and when I go to print on my HP Photosmart 6510 All-in-one I get a window that says 6510 series not found. I shut everything down and brought it all back up with the same problem. I went to HP to make sure everything was up
    to date and still nothing. It supposed to be compatible with Windows10 so I just don't know. The printer is plugged in and works but not with the computer. HELP!

    Hi,

    I suggest you to follow the steps given in the link below under Troubleshooting tab.

    Make sure that you have the latest drivers installed from the Software and Driver tab. There is no driver available for Windows 10, try to install the Window 8.1 driver in compatibility mode. You can follow the steps given in the link below.

    Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows

    Make older apps or programs compatible with Windows 10

    Let us know the status of the issue.
