Windows 10: HP started typing backwards, won't scroll

    HP started typing backwards, won't scroll


    .My HP Envy 15 started slowly acting odd and only typing totally backwards (weird) sometimes, then a lot. I figured it was directly related to an auto update that I never asked for. There were a few other things that I noticed that changed too, my laptop gradually started running slower and my fan was starting often when I would turn my laptop on.
    I have been using a 10 upgrade since last year with no problems on my desktop computer and I updated my laptop from 7 PRO to 10 and started using it on this laptop this year with no problems.
    What I didn't do was set a recover date. When my laptop was acting to weird for me I set it to go back to early April when I was not having issues. It was the earliest date it offered me, but it seemed to only add to my problems. I have had a number of issues with the right button on the touchpad, yet when I go to upgrade Synaptics, it tells me I have the latest available. Although it is not what I was using before the auto update. It would scroll backwards, and now I have no scrolling at all.
    I do not want to keep trying to fix these issues myself when I am only guessing and I seem to be making things worse.
    I REALLY look forward to any suggestions you could offer me.

    Hi Gerry,

    We still can't identify what causes this issue. Kindly answer the following questions to assist you better with this:

    • When did you start noticing this behavior on your computer?
    • Has any new software or hardware been added recently?
    • Have you also tried performing a clean boot? If you haven't, you can check this
      article for more information.
