Windows 10: HP Stream 14

I just purchased this laptop and no ones hands of touched it but mine. I used it and the next time I checked my email I noticed the computer says no battery detect and if that doesn't suck bad enough but it says there is something wrong with my BIOS! Not to sound dumb or blonde.. or both, which I am.. lol Please if you know of anything I can do besides returning it? thank you for your time?

Which of these 14" laptops would you choose [Bought a 14" HP]

HP Stream 14 32gb

I was reading posts from 2015 with people complaining about not having enough room to on their hard drive after upgrading to windows 10. Well I bought my HP Stream 14" with 32gb of hard drive with windows 10 preinstalled. I had a problem last August installing
the Anniversary edition 1607 and while still under warranty an HP rep on chat at first didn't believe my about my trouble then then took control of my computer and evidently deleted non essential "stuff" he installed the Anniversary update for me. Now I'm
no longer under warranty and can not download the latest update, 1709. I don't have pictures, movies or music on my laptop and have deleted just about everything that is deletable.

So the question is this: is 1709 a standalone update or does it also contain the 1607 update so I can delete the original to make room for this latest one?

 

Bought used HP Stream 14 - NO SOFTWARE

I bought a used HP Stream 14" and the previous owner factory reset, but is now missing software! What do I do? I CANNOT use the start button on either screen or keyboard, I cant troubleshoot or run a diagnosis, I can't factory rest, I can't
restore to default settings, I have wifi connection but I just don't know what to do! Can some one help me!
