Windows 10: Hp Tru Vision camera on windows 10

im gettin error code on the camera that is installed in my hp laptop. I have tried the steps with the device manager to reinstall and up date drivers and its still not working. I need this camera to work for my sons skype classes. The only time it works is when i do a system restore but it only work for awhile and as soon as i turn it off the same code comes up. I cant keep restoring either.

Hey there thanks for attempting to assist.

But my problem is not solved despite trying your solutions.

I should add that the windows 10 app called 'camera' can actually get vision from both my HP cam and Logitech cam.

But they will not work on skype or internet/web based chat platfroms.

So yes i'm still looking for solutions and i'm feeling that the problem is centered around the USB interface ??

So anymore suggestions ?

true vision camera not working with Skype windows 10

I have HP 2000 Notebook PC that has a true vision camera that is not working with Skype. I am using Windows 10. The microphone works fine which I realize may or may not be linked with camera. When I go into any other program that uses a camera like CyberLink
YouCam (that came with the computer) it works fine. When I use the nondescript camera app it does not work. Help please.
