    Yesterday Windows update, after which my computer ran very slowly, especially while gaming. After looking around, I noticed that Nvidia Control Panel would not open because it said I wasn't using an Nvidia graphics card. This is weird because the laptop's graphics card is an Nvidia Quadro M1200.

    After Googling it, it appears that the problem may be that the laptop is only using the integrated graphics card instead of the regular one. The solution was to disable the integrated graphics, either through the device manager or the BIOS, or update my Nvidia drivers. After having done both, I am still stuck on integrated graphics.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

    • Turn your computer off.
    • Pull out your video/graphics card.
    • Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
    • Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.
    Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.
