Windows 10: HTTP 400 error when I try to read something on MSN my homepage, only happens on MSN

MSN is my homepage. When I try to read an article I get Bad Request HTTP Error 400. This does not happen on any other website I go to.

Msn is my homepage. I spend a lot of time on other websites too, but msn is the only one I use that keeps saying Internet Explorer has stopped responding and either recover page or has to close. I have a brand new HP ProDesk 400 G3SFF with Windows 10 Pro
64 bit OS. I'm using IE 11 because that's the only browser left that supports Java and I play Pogo games and the rooms won't load unless you have Java installed. Again, the only webpage I have this problem with is the Msn page using IE 11.

 

MSN Homepage appears at bootup

Hi,

For several days now I have had the MSN homepage pop up every time I boot up. It appears to be initiated by a call to open the page MSN Deutschland | News, Wetter, Sport & Hotmail Login . MSN is not my home page and I don't want to see it. How can I stop it opening? I haven't had any updates (due mainly to the fact that, currently, my computer is unable to receive them).

There is an old thread here which suggests an answer using Malwarebytes AdwCleaner. This and other efforts have been taken, but no luck.

MSN UK HOMEPAGE

When I open MSN UK Homepage, the page opens, then almost immediately the notice An error in this program caused the program to close. and the page closes. The same is also happening on skype.

Help please, this problem has only just started
