huge non-paged pool memory block at startup used by etwB

Hi everyone,Title says it all. I launch my laptop Windows 10 and see 1.0Gb of non-paged pool memory, and after running poolmon I see 880Mb attributed to etwB Windows tracing tool buffer as I understand.I have tried a lot of things, ran scannow, Memory Diagnostic tool, installed the SDK to run poolmon, set the tracer to Never collect data etc... But I don't know how to purge this memory buffer of 1.0Gb always blocked out of 8Gb of RAM. Any ideas?

    :)

    Memory Usage (non-paged pool) etwB

Whenever i start my pc the non-paged pool already starts at 1.7GB. I used poolmon to find out what the reason could be and it turns out there is something called "etwB" which uses 1.7GB, the value doesnt change. Now i am wondering what it is and if i could
    remove it.

  3. Huge non-paged pool on startup?

Hello. I just built a new computer and installed the drivers for it on w10. Everything works fine, but I have a non-paged pool of 5.7gb out of 16 on startup, and I'd like to do something about that. I checked under task manager for the non-paged pool,
but none of the programs there are taking nearly that much. I suspect it's the killer network driver, but I'd still like to confirm it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Memory Usage (non-paged pool) etwB

    Hi Thomaz

etwB is basically the logging that is going on in Windows in the background

    Open the Settings App

    Go to Privacy

In there you will find a multitude of different logging options that you can turn ofr like:

'Feedback & Diagnostics' tab and set 'Feedback frequency' as 'Never'

another is 'Send your device data to Microsoft'

    And many others

By disabling some of those you should reduce the RAM being used by etwB
