Windows 10: Hulu app on windows 10, different versions on 2 machines.... why?

I want to know if anyone has come to this discovery...


I have few machines that I built some are for Gaming some are for business use, all have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, some like my laptop, have OEM Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

Yesterday I decided to download and install HULU from the Windows store on my business machine, it has a modest AMD A-4 5300 APU, Gigabyte Motherboard socket FM2+, 8GB of DDR3, SSD. anyway it dowloaded HULU version 2.5.1.0 (18.9 MB) and it uses the latest app that enables PROFILES!! yay! it was great, I actually downloaded the app twice (2x) as that computer has 2 User Profiles (wife and I) and we both like from time to time to see HULU on slow time at work, both apps are the same 2.5.1.0 and both use PROFILES. then I decided to download it on my Gaming rig, a Ryzen 5 CPU OC to 4.1Ghz, 16GB DDR4, SSD NVme M2, ATI Radeon 570, and to my surprise... the only app it downloads from the Windows10 store is version 2.3.20.0 (24.6MB) with no PROFILES! Why? what does it need in order to get the new app? both run the same OS, same version release 1809 OS Build 17763.253

1. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
2. Have you recently made any changes on the device?
   
3. Are you using Hulu in a browser or the App?
   
4. Which version of Windows is running on your device?
   

Refer the article Which Windows Operating System am I Running to get the
information about the version of Windows installed.

Here are the few steps you can try to fix the issue.

Method 1:

Check your device meets the System Requirements to
install Hulu.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
