Windows 10: i am seemingly unable to access some of my graphics settings??

im trying to get better performance on games because cyberpunk 2077 will still lag like minecraft with a render distance of 5 when im on lowest possible settings. one guide im using is telling me to go to the graphics settings and enable optimisations for windowed games and hardware-accelerated gpu scheduling, however these options do not appear in my graphics settings; literally the only option i can see is "choose an app to set preference" which is utter **** because i cant find which folders all my steam games are hidden in. I would post screenshots, but for some dumb **** reason they wont

Thank you for the reply. I already have "hidden files" checked. - - - Updated - - - To clarify : 1) Attempting to open file by clicking on it in the "Recent files" list I get the following:

Custom Driver : Intel HD Graphics & ATI Combo (Alpha) - by nIGHTmAYOR

according to laptop support page they do list an old downloadable driver for intel for windows 7 , weather this is related to there being several variants of that laptop or this laptop has switchable graphics i may just suggest you reset the bios and see if things change , if yes you may be able to apply step 2 , if not then apply step 4 and call it today , you are still better off being on the high performance gpu .

Out of curiosity can you take a snap shot from Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and click the “Graphics Settings” ?

 

Unable to access Cortana, Search box, Settings on Windows 10

Do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Is this issue persists on Microsoft account/ local account?
• What is the Windows troubleshooter you have deployed to resolve the issue?
• What is the exact error code/ error message of this issue as we are unable to access the links provided?

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps if not yet tried and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to log-out from the current user account, restart the device, log-in with Microsoft account and check if the issue persists.

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10.

1. Connect to the internet.

2. Press
Windows key and type updates.

3. Click on
Check for updates.

4. Under
Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.

5. Try to install the updates being shown.
