I am trying to download HEIC image extension, but when I click install and open the store, all I get is a grayed out box with the word get in it.

I still can't view HEIC files despite installing Microsoft HEIF Image Extensions from the Microsoft Store

I installed the Microsoft HEIF Image Extensions and the Video extension too from the Microsoft Store, but when I try to open my HEIC photos it comes up with "Download codecs from Microsoft store"...

Is there a fix?

 

Downloading HEVC/HEIC extension

Requesting help opening .heic files, which is hard for our organization to avoid. **Our field technicians send these, sometimes we get these from other people, etc.

I tried using the MS Store, but it won't let me.. it doesn't recognize my account. This is a company email address with "onmicrosoft" in the middle of the domain. So then I learned there's a separate business store. I downloaded the .heic image extension there and confirmed the license is active with my account, but when I try to install it, it takes me back to the MS Store and nothing happens. When I try to open .heic files, I still get the pop up message and limited capability, such as difficulties printing them.

**For those with iPhones, we tried having them change to .jpeg mode, but it looks like the setting reverts back, maybe when the phone updates.

 

Cannot install HEIC image extensions

Hi,

I am having trouble getting the HEIC image extensions to install to my PC. On selecting this app from the Microsoft store, I clicked on the Install button, and selected the two PCs I want to install them on. Nothing happens. The Install button is now
greyed out but it hasn't been installed to my PC (it is not listed in the Apps installed under Settings. WHy is this not working?
