Windows 10: i am trying to make a back up thumb drive of my os so i can upgrade my ram how do i do...

i am trying to upgrade my ram, so i need a bootable thumb drive to bott my pc after i install new memory how do i do this and am i going to need a license to reinstall my os back on my pc?

Win 10 Upgrade thumb-drive

I was using a Windows 10 Installation media to upgrade a different pc. At step 5 of the Create Installation Media, I selected a 8gb thumb-drive and the process began to download. At about the 50% stage, the process stopped. I waited for three house, but
it still remained at about 50%. I stopped the process.

Now, the thumb drive I was using is totally blank. The system does not even recognize it as being inserted. Is there anyway to recover the thumb drive or is it totally dead?

 

I am attempting to do a clean install of Windows 11. (Aurora r13) installation media on a USB thumb drive.

I was able to successfully create the installation media on a USB thumb drive. However, when I performed the steps for the actual installation I got up to the Use a device screen but my thumb drive does not appear on the list. The two options that do appear are: Onboard NIC (IPV4) and Onboard NIC (IPV6). Suggestions? Thanks.
