Windows 10: I am unable to install from the Microsoft store

    I am unable to install from the Microsoft store


    I have just purchased the Minecraft Windows 10 Starter Collection and am unable to install it. When viewing the pack and/or the game itself from within my game library it appears as though i able able to download it how ever when I click the install button the install and '...' button disappear. The window has some times frozen up after clicking and other time the button just disappears and allows me to continue. However when I go to a different section in my library (eg 'ready to install') and then return to the "all owned" tab the install button has returned and nothing has happened. Neither the Game itself or the pack appear in my "ready to download" as well. Also when viewing the game directly from the store the it says "you own this game" and when I click install nothing happens. Before attempting some fixes the button was fully greyed out and not clickable. how ever now the install button is not greyed out but clicking it does nothing.


    that is the scenario and now onto the fixes i have attempted


    I have tried to go through the Xbox app (beta) to download it but when i attempt to do so it says i must install 'gaming services' and when clicked it appears to begin to have begun downloading but nothing changes the download doesn't actually start. so I assumed it was due to the Xbox up and attempted signing out and restarting both the app and my computer dozens of times. I then attempted the same for the Microsoft store dozens of times and nothing changed. I then followed the steps outlined in this video

    it involves using the command msreset and typing setting changes into command prompt and power shell. even that didn't work.


    I am completely lost please help me.


    Also feel free to question my wording of certain sentences as it is currently 1am and I doubt everything I just typed makes sense.

  2. Unable to install Garmin Connect Mobile app from Microsoft Store

    Hi James,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I understand that you are unable to install the Garmin Connect Mobile app from Microsoft store after uninstalling it.



    I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.



    Method 1:



    Reset the store cache.



    1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
      Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for Run.
    2. In Run dialog box, type
      wsreset
      and hit enter.


    The store will restart automatically after the command completes.



    Method 2:



    Sign out and sign in again to store.



    1. Open Microsoft store by clicking on the
      Store icon on the taskbar.
    2. Now on the top right corner click on the
      account icon and click on the account name.
    3. Now click on Sign out to sign out of Microsoft Store.
    4. Click on the account icon again and click on
      Sign in.
    5. Login with the Microsoft account.


    If the issue persists, I would also suggest you to check and confirm if the store app is updated and the region, time & language settings are set accordingly. You can refer the steps in the article on

    to help you through this process.

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I understand how it could be when the applications doesn’t work as they are supposed to. We will look into this. However, please reply to the following questions to help you in a better way:

    • Are you getting any error message?
    • Since when are you facing this issue?
    • Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?

    In the meantime, I suggest you to follow the steps from the article
    Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
    to fix the issues with the Microsoft apps that are not launching. Also, follow the steps from the article

    Microsoft Store doesn't launch
    to fix the issues you are facing in launching Store.

    Unable to install Apps downloaded from Windows Store

    Hi, Vinesh.

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
    I understand your concern, and we in Community will try to help you in the best possible way.



    I suggest that you perform the steps mentioned below and check if the issue occurs.



    Step 1: Run App Troubleshooter.

    Note: The troubleshooter automatically fixes some issues that might prevent your apps from running, including suboptimal screen resolution and incorrect security or account settings.

    • Type “Troubleshooting” in the search box and press Enter.
    • Click on ‘View All’ on the top left pane.
    • Click on “Windows Store Apps” from the list and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.

    Step 2:

    If the issue persist, I would suggest that you un-install and re-install the app from Windows Store.



    Note: Exit store when trying to re-install the app.
