Windows 10: I broke one of my Windows Apps folders. Need help fixing this issue.

A couple of months ago my cat knocked out the power cable to my computer and the sudden shut down ruined my windows installation. After reinstalling I was left with some windows apps on my drives that I could not use anymore. I tried to manually delete all the subfolders in Windows Apps on one drive and for the most part it worked but I was left with a couple that I still can't delete.


The problem now is that the Windows Apps folder remains and I am unable to install anything from the Windows Store on this drive.

I tried changing the default installation drive for apps to this drive and I get this error; "We couldn't set your default save location. The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a bit. The error code is 0x80070005, in case you need it." I also ran CCleaner for the Registry and I still get this error and can't delete the Windows Apps folder.


What can I do to make it so I can use this drive again for Windows apps?

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?

You could use step 4 in Option 1 to add a new folder in the All Apps list, then add shortcuts into the new folder.
