Windows 10: I can not get my sound to work?

So I recently bought a computer with some used parts. It is an i5-3570. The motherboard is an asus P8h61-m. I believe this is all the necessary information but if you have any other queries regarding my specs then ask away.Anyway, I try to plug in my headphones but it is never ever detected and I cannot hear anything.Whenever I play a video these are shown to be working depending on which one I choose but I still can't hear anything.I even installed the sound drivers of my motherboard manually but even then it didn't work.If you have any suggestions please help. My headphones are not being rec

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
