Windows 10: I cannot connect to my personal wi-fi on my windows 10 PC

Since yesterday, I’ve been having internet problems. My PC kept disconnecting from my wi-fi and I had to reconnect until i couldn’t reconnect anymore. Now, instead of my regular wi-fi or no wi-fi icon, I have this globe with a X mark on it, signaling I do not have acces to internet. I have tried everything to solve the issue: uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, changed my internet settings, deleted some new updates that I have installed, used commands in CMD, did the network reset thing, etc. But I have no results. Today, i unplugged my D-Link internet port from one of my USB ports and plugged it in another port and the internet started working, but stopped working after about 15 minutes. I am really desperate to solve this problem, especially since in Europe we are in the “ quarantine situation” and I must send some really important documents from home, and this issue doesn’t let me do that. Please help me and give helpful advice.

Windows 10 stop automatically connecting to random new wi-fi networks

Hi,

I have searched a lot, but all the tutorials I found only explained how to not connect automatically to a known wi-fi network or how to disable wi-fi sense... but this is not what I am looking for...

PROBLEM:

• When my laptop (Windows 10 Pro X64) is not connected to a network and the wireless adapter is on, it will automatically connect to any random new unsecured wi-fi network... The only way I have now to avoid this is to disable my wi-fi adapter.

UNUSEFUL TUTORIALS I FOUND ON THE INTERNET:

• How to manually uncheck the option for a particular wi-fi network not to connect automatically in Network Properties. This is not what I am looking for. This would suggest that everytime I power my computer. I would have to manually go through all the available wi-fi networks and unclick them all...
• How to disable Wi-Fi Sense. This is not useful, because I don't even have a Wi-Fi sense option in my computer where the tutorials say it should be.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

• I am looking for an option to tell my computer to stop connecting randomly to unknown wi-fi networks like an hyperactive, reckless idiot.

PERSONAL COMMENT:

• Honestly, why would any respectable company think that it could be somewhat wise or secure to do this... Anyone's computer could just randomly connect to any hacker's wi-fi network without the user even knowing it...

PC connection issue (Wi-Fi)

I have 2 PCs hooked up, both running Windows 10. My PC in the living room is connected directly to the cable modem and I am using a portable Wi-Fi adapter (Netgear Genie) for my PC in the bedroom. Everything was working fine until a few days ago when I lost my Wi-Fi signal in the bedroom. The Wi-Fi icon disappeared from the taskbar. So I thought it may be the adapter. So I moved the PC into the living room and connected it directly. Well....nothing. There is still no signal. The wi-fi in my house is still active because I'm able to use my cell phone and tablet. So...any suggestions? If what I wrote is unclear let me know. Thanks.
