Windows 10: I cannot sign into my laptop.

I cannot sign in my notebook book using the password bc it stopped working. The only option I have to sign in is the fingerprint, which usualy works just fine. However, I had a wet finger and the figerprint option is "blocked" now for too many tries. .The login screen wants me to use the password to sign in (exclusively). Can the finger print option be reinitialised so I can use it to sign in ? I tried the safemode, but my password doesn't work there either. Thanks

Hi,

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.

Once you're able to sign in, you can change the sign-in options by following these steps:

  Under PIN, click Add.

  Enter your password or any other required information when prompted and click

  Enter at PIN number with at least 4 digits and click OK.
