Windows 10: I cannot update my windows security

Discus and support I cannot update my windows security in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; error code: 0x80080005 im trying to install forza horizon 4 on my pc, but i cant because i assume im not fully updated. however i cant update because...     I cannot update my windows security


    error code: 0x80080005


    im trying to install forza horizon 4 on my pc, but i cant because i assume im not fully updated. however i cant update because of whatever that error code means


    i tried a forum answer from 2017 involving renaming catroot to catroo2.old or something, but that didnt work.

    Windows 7 Ultimate (64) Security updates not installing.

    I have been having problems in installing the updates that I have listed below. For each update I attempted to install them individually but they would not install. I also downloaded the SURT 6.1 KB947821 v27. The problem has been going on now for about 2 months. (whenever the issue with the updates comes to mind I am never near my pc). Thank you in advance.

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
