Windows 10: I can't believe my 4 years of archived emails have disappeared from the Mail App~

I thought I was having trouble finding my archive email sometimes but today I checked everything and I have no archived email with the Mail app anymore. I purchased my pc with windows 10 last October, transferred all my emails and set up accounts with the Mail app. Quite liked it until I went to find a few work emails with user names and such set up in my archive where I have stored them for years (they transported over as I set them to do this), and they are all gone. I have old my pc so i can get older ones on Windows Live mail on the older pc but none I have saved since October. This is where I save receipts for 1 to 2 year warranty periods, in set up folders.... The mail app is just deleting everything older than a few months? I have searched google and see many people with the issue and no answers in here that worked for anyone. Shameful I trusted microsoft apps (. I will look for something that works and doesn't say for older emails use search.... in the archive folder. Search did my no good nor following sync information and such you gave as answers to others. How about a, sorry, we're looking into it and going to fix it? that would be better than making someone try 1000's of things that didn't work.

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.

Follow the Steps below and check.

Step 1: Check the sync settings in Mail app.

• Open Mail app and Hoover mouse point on top.
• Next to Search icon you can seen Sync this View.
• Click on the icon and let it Sync.
• Close and reopen Mail app and check Archived mails.

If issue persist follow next Step.

Step 2: Run the Windows App Troubleshooter.

Archived mails are missing in Windows 10 Mail App.

I'm using the
native Windows 10 Mail App to manage my mail, from a desktop PC.
The e-mails I have previously archived are not visible in the Archived folder. Where can I find them?

• I'm using a Microsoft account with a @live.com ending, which is the
  same account I'm writing this question from.
• The account is set and used in the Mail App, as well as in Windows 10.
• Receiving, sending, and otherwise synchronizing emails works perfectly and flawlessly, as well as all other features in the
  Mail App.
• Archived e-mails disappear after some time, and they are not visible in the
  Archived folder inside the Mail App anymore (from under Folders on the left panel).
• I'd like to recover some archived e-mails

I'm led to believe the archived e-mails are placed into a separate location after some time, which is not recoverable from
inside the Mail App. Where can I find my archived e-mails, if it's possible at all? Thanks.

PS: These archived e-mails seem to be available using the online app, both at mail.live.com and
outlook.com.
Is this an intentional design decision? If so, that's understandable, although I'd wish to use only the
Mail App if possible, as it is significantly more streamlined and magnitudes faster than the online version.

 

Archived emails disappeared from folder

I use the Outlook mail app on Windows 10. Many of the emails I've saved to the archive folder have disappeared. Can I retrieve them somehow. There was no notification that they would be removed.
