Windows 10: I cant connect to my wifi, and dont know what to try anymore

I cannot connect to my wifi, when i try it says " windows cant get the network settings from the router." I have tried turning my modem/ router on and off multiple times, i have run the network troubleshooter, restarted my computer, i am putting in the correct information, i have done a factory reset on my computer, have reset the network adapter, i dont know what else to try anymore,

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

You should still be able to use NavyLCDR's second step without changing the WiFi password.

 

Wifi Connection

So my Xbox 360 elite will not connect to one specific modem. I am making this post from that modem and i have my xbox one connected to it. My xbox 360 has never had any issues connecting to any other wifi modem before so i dont know what the issue is.
Ive done every step the customer service suggested and nothing helped.
