Windows 10: I can't delete HEIC files

Discus and support I can't delete HEIC files in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I can see it I File explorer But I cant delete it on downloads, or in pictures, I've pressed the delete option but it's still there, if I tap on it...     I can't delete HEIC files


    I can see it I File explorer But I cant delete it on downloads, or in pictures, I've pressed the delete option but it's still there, if I tap on it take me to Photos but I can't view and it says I need to download codecs which I can't do either. Also I cant even find it in photos, but when I tap on the file it open files and give me the option to delete it but even then, it doesn't get deleted. I've tried to move to recycling bin but it won't move from file explorer

    Delete HEIC File Type

    I've noticed that my windows 10 computer cannot delete HEIC files. When I try and delete them, it seems windows cannot find the files and move them to the trash.

    HEIC file viewing

    I have the HEIC Image extensions and the HEVC video extensions on my Windows 10 PC but the TWINUI application will still not open the HEIC file. Any suggestions?

    I have tried converting it to JPG using the APowersoft application but it downloads the file to a location that does not seem to exist on my PC - "...Users/[user name]\AppData\temp...

    How to view Apple's .HEIC pictures

    It should work, it does for me. Try Fabler2's suggestion in post #6 and reset the app.

    You could also see if you can open known good sample .heic pictures, like the sample1.heic seen above that I got from here:
