Windows 10: I cant download anything from the Microsoft store on :E drive

I have 2 drives, A 250GB SSD and a 2TB HDD

I have windows installed on the ssd and use the HDD for bigger files. I want to download a game that is 80 GB so I need to store it on the E drive; however, when I go to install the game, the E drive doesn't show as an option. I then went to change the default storage drive for new apps but It wont work.


an error box pops up "we couldn't save your default save position" with the error code 0x800706be


I tried doing a storage troubleshoot and it found one issue but even after It was fixed, it still does not work. I made sure I was on the latest version of windows and that all of my drivers were up to date but nothing seems to be working.

Games from App Store

I suggest you to follow the steps below for the Windows store downloads.

• 
  Press Windows + E.
  
• 
  Click on This PC at the top left corner.
  
• 
  Click on C: Drive.
  
• 
  Click on Program files.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Apps.

Changed the 'downloads' location to E-Drive. Couldn't reverse!!

But the problem is whenever I click the properties of Downloads
folder, it is showing the properties dialog box of E-drive partition. How could I solve this?

 

Cannot Download Anything From Microsoft Store


I changed the DNS Servers to 8 8 8 8 and 8 8 4 4, but still no downloads. I finished my drive partition backups so the next step is the Microsoft Store on Tuesday. Wish me luck.
